Primax Regal Aqua Seal

Aqua Seal is a single-component, elastomeric polymer-modified waterproof coating suitable for both internal and external applications. It provides a hardwearing, seamless, waterproof membrane with excellent crack accommodation properties, ensuring durable protection for various surfaces.

• Protection of concrete substrates and masonry against water, carbon dioxide, chloride ions, salts, and de-icing salts

Method of Use:

Substrate Preparation:

• Ensure the substrate is sound, clean, and free from contamination.
• Remove curing compounds, laitance, organic growth, or other loose materials.
• Treat efflorescence on walls with an acidic wash, rinse, and let dry completely before coating.
• Repair any honeycombing, damaged, or deteriorated concrete using suitable low-permeability repair mortars before applying the coating.

Priming:

• No primer is required.

Application:

1. Tools: Brush, roller, trowel, or spray machines.
2. First Coat:
   • Apply the mixed material by brushing well into the surface.
   • Strike off with the brush in one direction, ensuring not to spread the material too thin.
   • Dampen the surface again if the material begins to drag. Do not add water.
   • Leave to cure overnight or for a minimum of 3-5 hours, depending on ambient temperatures.
3. Second Coat:
   • Apply similarly, preferably perpendicular to the first layer to ensure good bond and coverage.

Dilution / Thinning:

• First coat: 30-40%
• Second coat: 10-20%

Cleaning:

• Clean all tools immediately after use with clean water.
• Hardened material can be removed using mechanical means.

Packaging:

• Available in plastic containers.

Storage:

• Store and transport at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C in tightly sealed plastic containers.
